Cancelling your UK visa application

Is there any unforeseen occurrence that makes you want to cancel your UK visa application?

Permit me to tell you that this is possible....

Cancelling your application depends on where you applied.

Did u applied outside the UK?

Applying outside the UK means that you have applied from one of the other countries of the world apart from the UK...

Your application can be cancelled in two (2) different ways:

  • If you are yet to give your biometrics informations I.e fingerprints and photo capturing at the UK visa application center in your country, you can cancel your application online. How this is done depends on the platform you used in your UK visa application I.e either you use Visa4UK or AccessUK when applying. Irrespective of the one you use, follow the steps below:
        - if you use Visa4UK while applying,  then you
sign in to your Visa4UK account to find the
refund link on the payment confirmation page.

        - if you use AccessUk while applying, then you sign
in to your AccessUK account using the link
from your sign-up email, then go to ‘Section 6:
further actions’ to cancel your application.

  • If you have already given your fingerprints and photo, contact UKVI to cancel your application.

Did you applied in the UK?

If You applied in the UK, it's possible to cancel your application using the online form.
Note:
You can only get your fee refunded if you have not given your fingerprints and photo (‘biometric information’)

It’s sometimes possible to get your passport or other documents returned without withdrawing your application - you’ll be told whether you can do this when you fill in the form.
You may lose your permission to stay in the UK if you cancel your application.
Finally, cancellation of your application cannot be stopped once it's  been received by the Home Office.
